Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) Bridge Project Department has issued a public notice regarding traffic and movement restrictions due to the ongoing reconstruction work of Subhash Bridge over the Sabarmati River in the western zone of the city.

According to the notice, demolition work of the existing Subhash Bridge is currently underway as part of the bridge reconstruction project. In view of public safety, the riverfront road on the eastern side stretching from Sheetal Aqua Flat to ISKCON Riverside Flat has been closed for public movement. Additionally, the lower promenade (walkway) of the Sabarmati Riverfront located beneath Subhash Bridge on the eastern side has also been shut until the completion of the demolition and reconstruction work.

AMC has provided alternative routes for commuters and visitors. People travelling from Sheetal Aqua Flat towards ISKCON Riverside Flat have been advised to use the road on the right side, while those travelling from ISKCON Riverside Flat towards Sheetal Aqua Flat should use the road on the left side connected to the riverfront.

The civic body has urged citizens to take note of the temporary traffic diversion and cooperate with authorities until the completion of the project work. DeshGujarat
