Surat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit his home state of Gujarat once again next month. During the proposed visit, the Prime Minister is expected to be in Surat on June 5, followed by a visit to the neighbouring Union Territory of Daman on June 6.

The Surat district administration has reportedly begun preparations for a public meeting in the city. Officials are inspecting multiple locations in the Vesu and Varachha areas to identify a suitable venue for the proposed event.

According to sources, the administration has surveyed several sites and forwarded a shortlist of three to four locations in Vesu and Varachha for consideration. However, no final decision has yet been taken regarding the venue.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi is also expected to attend the inauguration of the new airport in Daman, which has been completed at an estimated cost of around Rs 97 crore.
