Bageshwar Baba Dhirendra Shastri to Visit Gujarat for Hanumant Katha, Divya Darbar

Rajkot: The Saurashtra Sanatan Samiti will organise a three-day “Sanatan Setu Hanumant Katha” and “Divya Darbar” of Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, popularly known as Baba Bageshwar Dham, at the Race Course Ground (Rameshbhai Parekh Auditorium) in Rajkot from June 5 to 7. Organisers said only electric vehicles (EVs) will be used to welcome the spiritual leader during the event.

Announcing the programme, committee chairmen Kishore Khambhayata, Vikramsinh Parmar and Mangesh Desai said a Kalash Yatra involving religious and social organisations will be taken out across 10 zones of Rajkot on June 4 as a precursor to the Katha.

Preparations for the event have been made on a large scale, with the Race Course Ground divided into 24 seating blocks. According to ground management head Vijay Parkhiya, each block will accommodate around 1,800 devotees under the Indian seating arrangement system.

Organisers have also set up a 130-foot by 45-foot stage, six giant LED screens, a high-capacity sound system, 24 lighting towers and a network of CCTV cameras for monitoring and security. The entire event has been covered under an insurance policy.

For crowd management, entry gates have been designated separately for devotees, saints and dignitaries. Gates 1 and 2 near Fun World, Airport Gate No. 5 and Bal Bhavan Gate No. 6 will be open to the public. Gate No. 3 has been reserved for saints and sadhus, while Gate No. 4 will be used for protocol guests.

To ensure smooth traffic movement, parking facilities have been arranged at Chaudhary High School, Police Headquarters and Reliance Ground, organisers said. DeshGujarat
