Ahmedabad: The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has launched a new Volvo bus service between Ahmedabad and Somnath via Kodinar, providing passengers with a more comfortable and time-bound travel option to the renowned pilgrimage destination.

According to GSRTC, the Volvo bus will depart from Ahmedabad’s Geeta Mandir bus station at 7:30 am and is scheduled to reach Somnath at around 5:30 pm. On the return journey, the bus will leave Somnath at 7:30 am and arrive in Ahmedabad by 5:30 pm the same day.

The service will operate via Kodinar and halt at key locations including Dholera Chokdi, Bhavnagar, Talaja, Mahuva, Rajula, Una and Kodinar, improving connectivity for passengers travelling between Ahmedabad and the coastal Saurashtra region.

GSRTC said the new Volvo service has been introduced to offer a safe, convenient and comfortable travel experience for pilgrims and other passengers visiting Somnath, one of Gujarat’s most prominent religious destinations. DeshGujarat
