Western Railway Regularises Surat – Mangaluru Bi-Weekly Express; Check Timings, Route and Schedule

Surat: In a major relief for passengers travelling between Gujarat and South India, Western Railway has converted the Surat–Mangaluru special train into a permanent bi-weekly express service following sustained passenger demand on the route.

The train will now operate regularly as Train Nos. 19057/19058 Surat–Mangaluru–Surat Bi-Weekly Express, providing passengers with a fixed and reliable travel option instead of a temporary special service.

According to railway officials, Train No. 19057 (Surat–Mangaluru Express) commenced regular operations on June 3, 2026, and will run every Wednesday and Sunday. The train departs from Surat at 7.35 pm and reaches Mangaluru at 7.45 pm the following day.

Similarly, Train No. 19058 (Mangaluru–Surat Express) commenced regular service on June 4, 2026, and will operate every Thursday and Monday. It departs from Mangaluru at 10.30 pm and arrives in Surat at 11.45 pm the next day.

The train passes through several key stations across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka, including Udhna, Valsad, Vapi, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Kundapura, Udupi, Surathkal, and Mangaluru.

The regularisation of the service is expected to benefit thousands of passengers travelling between Gujarat, the Konkan region, Goa, and Karnataka. Railway officials said the move will improve connectivity, offer greater convenience to regular travellers, and help ease congestion on other trains operating on the route.

The permanent train service is also expected to boost tourism, trade, and business links between Gujarat and South India. DeshGujarat
