Mallcom Invests ₹100 Crore in New PPE Manufacturing Plant at Sanand
June 06, 2026
Ahmedabad: PPE manufacturer Mallcom India Ltd, headquartered in Kolkata, on Friday announced an investment of more than Rs 100 crore in a new manufacturing facility at Sanand, aimed at boosting domestic production, enhancing localisation and reducing reliance on imports.
According to a company statement, the Sanand facility is Mallcom’s 17th manufacturing unit and currently provides employment to over 200 people. The workforce is expected to exceed 300 by next year.
The plant produces a range of personal protective equipment (PPE), including NBR and PU gloves, safety helmets and bump caps.
Mallcom recently commissioned a new NBR glove dipping line equipped with online printing and stripping capabilities and has also begun manufacturing Protech PU gloves locally, replacing imports of the product.
The company said it has set up what it describes as India’s first Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) unit for Protech PU gloves at the Sanand facility, a move intended to cut import dependence in a market segment that is largely supplied by overseas manufacturers. DeshGujarat
