Gujarat CM Sanctions ₹629 Crore for Four-Laning of Six Roads in Kutch

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved ₹629 crore for the four-laning of six key roads in Kutch district as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen road infrastructure and improve connectivity, a press release said.
The approved projects include the four-laning, widening, and improvement of the following road stretches:
- 4.1 km Mundra–Luni–Wadala Road
- 5.1 km Deshalpar–Sircha Road
- 5.5 km Mundra–Jarpara–Kandagara–Dhrab Road, along with the Jarpara village bypass
- 3.3 km Navinal village bypass
- 4.5 km Mota Kandagara village road stretch
- 20 km Mundra–Jarpara–Kandagara Road (Chainage 19 to 39)
The projects are aimed at providing improved road connectivity to rural areas of Kutch, ensuring safer and more efficient travel for residents.
The construction of bypass roads will also facilitate the smooth movement of heavy vehicles operating to and from Mundra Port, as well as nearby industrial and commercial hubs. This is expected to enhance logistics efficiency and enable faster and safer transportation of goods.
The upgraded road network is also likely to strengthen Kutch’s tourism sector by improving access to various destinations across the district.
