Weights and Measures Department Fines Three Ahmedabad Airport Shops

Ahmedabad: The Weights and Measures Department has imposed penalties totalling Rs 40,000 on three commercial outlets operating at Ahmedabad airport for alleged violations of the Packaged Commodities Act, a news report said.
The action followed a complaint alleging non-compliance with legal metrology regulations at shops located in both the domestic and international terminals.
During inspections at Terminal 2, officials found three stores violating the prescribed norms. According to information obtained through an RTI application, fines were imposed on Rishi Enterprise (Rs 5,000), Yashchi Enterprise (Rs 10,000), and Cococart Venture (Rs 25,000). DeshGujarat
