ACB Gujarat Nabs Two Female Cops in ₹1.10 Lakh Bribe Trap

Anand: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has nabbed two female cops in Anand in a bribe case involving a bribe amount of Rs. 1,10,000.
As per the ACB, the complainant and his family members were facing an application filed by his daughter-in-law at the Women Police Station in Anand. The accused, Geetaben Kamjibhai Dotha, posted as Assistant Sub-Inspector, allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs. 1,10,000 from the complainant in exchange for not harassing the complainant and his family in connection with the case and for not seizing the passport of the complainant’s son.
The investigation of the application was being conducted by accused Pushpaben Ranjitsinh Garasia, posted as the Head Constable. Since the complainant did not wish to pay the bribe amount, he approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and lodged a complaint.
Acting on the complaint, a trap was set up, during which the accused persons accepted the bribe amount and were caught red-handed at the scene. DeshGujarat
