Ahmedabad Hottest in Gujarat for Third Consecutive Day, Mercury Touches 42°C

Ahmedabad: The city recorded the highest maximum temperature in Gujarat at 42°C on Tuesday for a third consecutive day, as per the weather report issued by the India Meteorological Department this morning.
Similarly, other cities in the state also sweltered in intense heat, with Bhavnagar registering 41.6°C, Surendranagar 41.3°C, Rajkot 40.8°C, and Amreli 40.1°C. Ahmedabad’s maximum temperature was 1.1 degrees Celsius above normal, while the mercury in Bhavnagar was 2.6 degrees above normal.
Among other major cities, Vadodara witnessed a maximum temperature of 39.6°C, Deesa recorded 39.3°C, Kandla sizzled at 38.6°C, and Bhuj saw 37.3°C. Coastal locations remained relatively cooler, with Dwarka recording 32.8°C, Veraval 34°C, Diu 34.5°C, and Okha 34.7°C.
The nighttime mercury also remained above normal across most parts of the state. Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 29.7°C, while Surat registered 29°C and Rajkot 27.5°C.
Humidity levels remained high, particularly in coastal areas, with Okha recording 86% relative humidity and Dwarka 78% at 8:30 am, contributing to humid weather conditions. DeshGujarat
