Ahmedabad Hottest at 42.8°C as Temperatures Stay Above Normal Across Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The city experienced scorching heat on Wednesday, with the maximum temperature climbing to 42.8°C, the highest recorded in the last ten days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature was 3.1°C above normal.
The minimum temperature also remained higher than usual at 29.7°C, which was 1.7°C above the seasonal average. The IMD has forecast continued intense heat, with the maximum temperature likely to remain around 43°C on Thursday.
Humidity levels fluctuated significantly during the day, with relative humidity recorded at 60% at 8:30 am before dropping to 29% by 5:30 pm. Several parts of the city also witnessed gusty winds during the evening.
Ahmedabad was the hottest city in Gujarat on Wednesday, followed by Surendranagar (42.3°C), Bhavnagar (42.1°C), Gandhinagar (42°C), and Rajkot (41.2°C). DeshGujarat
