TTE’s Tablet Stolen from Gujarat Queen Express; Railway Police Nab Thief

Surat: The local railway police have arrested a person accused of stealing a government tablet belonging to a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) while on duty on a train.
The incident dates back to July 13, 2025, when the Ahmedabad–Valsad Gujarat Queen Express (Train No. 19033) was travelling from Surat to Valsad. During the journey, a government HHT (Hand Held Terminal) is a portable, tablet-like device used by TTEs worth Rs. 15,000 was stolen from TTE Santankumar Nandkishore Jadav, who was on duty in the C-2 coach of the train.
A complaint was registered at the Valsad Railway Police Station in connection with the theft, but no trace of the accused was found for a long time.
However, now the Railway LCB arrested a suspected accused, identified as Latif, alias Shahrukh Kaliyo, from the Salabatpura area. After recovering the stolen government tablet from his possession, the police arrested him and are planning to hand him over to the Valsad Railway Police for further action. DeshGujarat
