Heavy Vehicles Banned on Key Road in Vadodara Till June 30
June 13, 2026
Vadodara: The road-widening work in the Tarsali area of Vadodara, which has been started to ease traffic movement, has reached its final stage. As part of the project, the existing stretch of road from Dwarkesh Farm in Tarsali village to the National Highway is being reconstructed with a durable RCC surface, and the old road has been removed. Hence, the authorities have imposed a ban on the movement of heavy vehicles on the main stretch.
The authorities concerned informed that the construction of the RCC road from the Tarsali National Highway to the Sardar Patel Statue has been completed.
The newly constructed RCC road stretch between Shri Pushti Nagar Primary School and the Sardar Patel Statue is under the curing process, which is necessary for the long-term strength and durability of the road, officials said. Thus, only two-wheelers and light motor vehicles will be permitted to ply on this stretch till June 15, 2026.
The arrangement is expected to provide relief to local residents and daily commuters while easing traffic congestion in the vicinity.
Meanwhile, construction work on a 100-metre stretch between Dwarkesh Farm and the National Highway is still underway. Due to the continued use of heavy machinery and for safety reasons, authorities have banned the movement of heavy vehicles on this stretch till June 30, 2026.
The administration has called on motorists to use alternative routes during the restriction period. It has appealed to the public to cooperate with the traffic arrangements and follow the public advisory so that the project can be completed in a timely manner. DeshGujarat
