GujCTOC Invoked Against Six Accused in Cow Slaughter and Beef Sale Case

Panchmahal: The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of the Panchmahal Police has booked a gang allegedly involved in cow slaughter and the illegal sale of beef under the stringent Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime (GujCTOC) Act. Two accused, Ahmed Siddique Pauva and Salman Yamin, both residents of Godhra, have been arrested in the case.
Meanwhile, four other accused, identified as Imtiyaz Bhopli, Almas Qasim, Ruhalamin Razzak and Sufiyan Pathan, are yet to be arrested under the GujCTOC provisions. According to officials, Bhopli, Qasim and Razzak are currently lodged in sub-jails in connection with other offences, while police teams are making efforts to trace and arrest the remaining accused.
Police said the gang members have a combined total of 19 criminal cases registered against them at different police stations. DeshGujarat
