PM Modi likely to visit Gujarat on July 4

Sanand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit his home state of Gujarat later this week. Commercial production at CG Semi Private Limited’s semiconductor project in Sanand is set to begin on July 4, and the Prime Minister is likely to attend its inauguration.
CG Semi, a joint venture of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, Japan’s Renesas Electronics Corporation, and Thailand’s Stars Microelectronics, is commencing operations at its semiconductor assembly and testing facility in Sanand. However, the Prime Minister’s schedule has not yet been finalised. Sources said that, along with the Sanand programme, an event in Kutch is also being planned.
Prime Minister Modi last visited Surat and Daman on June 5, World Environment Day, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects.
So far, Prime Minister Modi has inaugurated two semiconductor projects in Sanand, including Micron Technology’s Rs. 22,500 crore assembly, packaging and testing plant and Kaynes Semicon’s Rs. 3,300 crore assembly, testing and packaging facility.
