Six Gujarat Police Officers Promoted to IPS Cadre

Ahmedabad: Six officers of the Gujarat Police Service (GPS) have been inducted into the Indian Police Service (IPS) after the Union Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification on Thursday.
The appointments were made by the President under the Indian Police Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, based on the Select List 2025. The officers have been allocated to the Gujarat cadre and will serve on probation for one year.
The six officers inducted into the IPS are:
- Rajdipsinh N. Nakum
- Bharatkumar B. Rathod
- Praful V. Vania
- Rajeshkumar T. Parmar
- Kalpeshkumar M. Chawda
- Rakesh D. Desai
According to the notification, the officers will also undergo induction training as prescribed under the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954. DeshGujarat
