Adani CNG Price Hiked by ₹2; Rate Crosses ₹90 per kg in Ahmedabad
July 19, 2026
Ahmedabad: Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) has once again increased the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) by ₹2 per kg, taking the retail price in the city above ₹90 per kg. Following Sunday’s revision, the retail price now stands at ₹90.02 per kg, up from ₹88.02 per kg before the latest hike.
With the latest revision, Adani CNG has increased CNG prices cumulatively by around ₹10 per kg so far in 2026.
The latest increase follows a series of price revisions over the past several months. Although CNG prices witnessed a brief reduction earlier this year, subsequent hikes have steadily increased fuel costs for lakhs of private vehicle owners and commercial transport operators.
Auto-rickshaw drivers are expected to be among the worst affected, as fuel accounts for a significant share of their daily operating expenses. Driver associations have repeatedly urged the government to issue the pending notification for the approved fare revision to help offset rising costs.
