Delhi – Daman Alliance Air Flight Diverted to Ahmedabad Airport Amid Bad Weather

Ahmedabad: An Alliance Air flight from Delhi to Daman was unable to land at Daman airport on Monday morning due to bad weather and poor visibility. After two unsuccessful landing attempts, the pilot diverted the aircraft to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad as a precaution.

According to available information, Alliance Air flight 9I-811 departed Delhi at around 6:30 am with approximately 40 passengers on board and was scheduled to arrive in Daman at around 9:00 am. However, adverse weather conditions and low visibility in and around Daman prevented a safe landing.

The pilot made two attempts to land the aircraft, but both were unsuccessful as the runway remained difficult to see due to poor visibility. With passenger safety as the top priority, the flight was diverted to Ahmedabad.

The aircraft landed safely at SVPI Airport, where all passengers were disembarked. The airline subsequently cancelled the onward journey.

Alliance Air had recently launched its direct Delhi-Daman service. Monday’s weather-related disruption caused inconvenience to passengers traveling on the new route. The airline is understood to be making alternative arrangements for affected passengers and processing applicable refunds. DeshGujarat
