Army Deploys Golden Katar Division for Flood Relief Operations in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Flood relief columns of the Indian Army’s Golden Katar Division have been deployed in the flood-affected districts of Valsad, Navsari, and Ahmedabad city and rural areas as heavy rains continue to impact parts of Gujarat.
The Army said its flood relief teams are engaged in rescuing stranded residents, providing essential assistance, and supporting affected communities in the rain-hit regions.
The Golden Katar Division, officially known as the 11th Infantry Division, is an elite formation of the Indian Army headquartered in Ahmedabad. It functions under the XII Corps of the Southern Command and has been mobilised to assist civil authorities in ongoing flood relief and rescue operations. DeshGujarat
