Ahmedabad: The intensity of rainfall in Gujarat has now shifted from South Gujarat to North and Central Gujarat. Over the last few hours, rainfall activity has eased across South Gujarat, while several districts in North and Central Gujarat have witnessed heavy showers. According to data released by the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) till 4 pm on Friday, several talukas received between 2 and 9 inches of rain.

The highest rainfall between 6 am and 4 pm was recorded in Radhanpur of Patan district at 9.25 inches. It was followed by 8.94 inches in Santalpur, 6.77 inches in Bhabhar of Banaskantha, 6.73 inches in Deodar, and 5.55 inches in Mehmadabad of Kheda district.

Apart from this, 4.61 inches of rain was recorded in Wankaner of Morbi, 4.45 inches each in Thangadh of Surendranagar and Hadad of Banaskantha, 4.21 inches each in Dehgam of Gandhinagar and Ogad of Banaskantha, 4.17 inches each in Nadiad of Kheda and Dhansura of Aravalli, 4.02 inches in Virpur of Mahisagar, and 3.74 inches in Kheralu of Mehsana.

Although the intensity of rainfall in South Gujarat has reduced compared to the previous spell, several areas continued to receive rain. Valod in Tapi recorded 2.01 inches of rainfall, followed by 1.81 inches in Kaprada of Valsad, 1.77 inches in Khergam of Navsari, 1.73 inches in Songadh of Tapi, and 1.38 inches in Palsana of Surat.

Rain was also recorded in several parts of Ahmedabad district. Dholka received 2.32 inches of rainfall, followed by 1.89 inches in Bavla, 1.46 inches in Detroj-Rampura, and 1.34 inches in Ahmedabad city. DeshGujarat
