July 25, 2026
Ahmedabad: Heavy rainfall led to severe waterlogging on the approach roads and in parts of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in the city on Friday, causing inconvenience to passengers and affecting flight operations. A total of 36 flights were delayed, while four were cancelled.
Airport authorities said flight operations continued despite the heavy rain. However, passengers were advised to leave for the airport well in advance, factor in additional travel time, and check the latest flight status with their respective airlines before starting their journey.
Meanwhile, several passengers shared photos and videos on social media showing waterlogged areas inside the airport premises as well as on the roads leading to the airport. DeshGujarat
