Gujarat Govt Approves Industrial Projects Worth Over ₹2,999 Crore Under Multiple Schemes

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government on Monday approved industrial projects involving investments of more than ₹2,999 crore under various incentive schemes, reinforcing its focus on manufacturing, infrastructure development, and employment generation.
The approvals were granted during a series of high-level committee meetings chaired by Deputy Chief Minister and Industries Minister Harsh Sanghavi.
The state government said the Incentives to Industries Scheme under Industrial Policy-2015 was introduced with the vision of making Gujarat a beacon of socio-economic development and one of the world’s most attractive investment destinations. The scheme provides Net SGST reimbursement to eligible industries setting up operations in the state.
According to government officials, the policy has so far facilitated investments worth ₹1,48,336.35 crore and generated 1,65,053 direct jobs across Gujarat. The investments have also accelerated the growth of ancillary micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), helping create an industry-friendly ecosystem in the state.
The scheme aims to position Gujarat as a leader in advanced manufacturing, technology, and innovation by attracting large-scale investments and encouraging new industrial projects.
32 Large Industrial Projects Approved
A meeting of the committee for granting Final Eligibility Certificates to large industries was held on July 27, 2026, in which a nod was given to 32 applications involving a cumulative investment of ₹1,978.04 crore, which are expected to generate around 4,739 direct jobs.
The approved investments include:
• Ahmedabad: ₹528.49 crore in the automobile, metal, cement, and concrete sectors.
• Kutch: ₹332.71 crore in the metal sector.
• Gandhinagar: ₹35.41 crore in the metal sector.
• Bharuch: ₹12.26 crore in the metal sector.
• Mehsana: ₹301.16 crore in the plastic and metal sectors.
• Morbi: ₹480.16 crore in the ceramic, chemical, paper, and plastic sectors.
• Vadodara: ₹102.94 crore in the chemical sector.
• Sabarkantha: ₹110.42 crore in the ceramic sector.
• Surat: ₹74.49 crore in the textile, pharmaceutical, and metal sectors.
₹649.23-Crore Project Approved Under Capital Subsidy Scheme
The committee also met to consider applications under the Capital Subsidy to Large Industries and Thrust Sector Scheme. It approved one project involving an investment of ₹649.23 crore, which is expected to create around 871 direct jobs. The project would strengthen Gujarat’s industrial ecosystem and contribute to higher direct and indirect employment.
Textile Scheme Clears Three Units
During its seventh meeting, the State-Level Empowered Committee under the Scheme for Assistance to Strengthen Specific Segments in the Textile Value Chain-2019 approved assistance for three textile units, which together account for an investment of ₹165 crore and are expected to generate around 500 direct jobs.
Under the scheme, eligible units receive interest subsidy and power tariff assistance. The government said the three units will receive more than ₹50 crore in assistance over the next five years.
Four Industrial Park Projects Approved
Separately, under the Gujarat Industrial Policy-2020, the state government approved four projects under the Scheme for Assistance to Industrial Parks.
These projects will involve a combined investment of more than ₹371.70 crore for the development of industrial parks, further strengthening Gujarat’s industrial infrastructure and enhancing its investment ecosystem. DeshGujarat
