Gujarat GST Revenue Rises 19% Year-on-Year in July 2026

New Delhi: Gujarat recorded strong growth in Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections in July 2026, with the state’s domestic GST revenue rising 19% year-on-year. According to data released by the Union Finance Ministry on Saturday, Gujarat collected Rs. 12,923 crore in domestic GST during July 2026, compared to Rs. 10,840 crore in the corresponding month last year.
The state’s pre-settlement State GST (SGST) revenue also registered healthy growth, increasing 14% to Rs. 4,579 crore from Rs. 4,006 crore in July 2025. After the settlement of Gujarat’s share of Integrated GST (IGST), the state’s SGST revenue rose to Rs. 8,418 crore from Rs. 6,702 crore a year earlier, reflecting a 26% increase.
At the national level, gross GST collections touched Rs. 2.11 lakh crore in July 2026, registering a 15.4% year-on-year increase over Rs. 1.83 lakh crore collected in July 2025. Net GST revenue, after accounting for refunds, stood at Rs. 1.81 lakh crore, up 15.8% from a year ago.
Among the major states, Haryana recorded the highest growth in domestic GST revenue at 25%, followed by Gujarat and Telangana at 19% each. Punjab, Kerala, and Jharkhand posted 16% growth, while Uttar Pradesh recorded 15%, Maharashtra 13%, Karnataka 12%, Bihar and Chhattisgarh 9% each, Delhi 8%, Goa 7%, Odisha 5%, Assam and West Bengal 2% each, and Rajasthan 1%.
