Riverfront Road from Subhash Bridge Garden to Shilalekh Reopened for Traffic in Ahmedabad
August 07, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) on Friday announced the temporary reopening of the Riverfront Road on the east bank of the Sabarmati River, from Subhash Bridge Garden to Shilalekh, for vehicular traffic to ease congestion and facilitate smoother movement of commuters in the city.
The stretch had earlier been closed to the public due to safety concerns arising from the detailed inspection of Subhash Bridge. Considering the current traffic situation and the need to improve connectivity, the road has now been reopened on a temporary basis.
The reopening is expected to provide an alternative route for motorists in the eastern part of Ahmedabad and help ensure smoother traffic management.
SRFDCL has requested the public to take note of the temporary traffic arrangement. DeshGujarat
