AMC Seals Manpasand Gymkhana for Violation of Approved Building Use

Ahmedabad: The Estate and Urban Development Department of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has sealed the Manpasand Gymkhana premises in Dariyapur for allegedly being used in violation of the approved building use.

According to the AMC, the property is located near Mota Waghjipura Naka on Jordan Road in Dariyapur and falls under Election Ward 21-Dariyapur. The premises are covered under C.S. Nos. 3268, 3269 and 3271 to 3276, Sheet No. 30.

The building had been approved around 1962 for commercial use on the ground floor, residential use on the first and second floors, and part of the third floor. The AMC had earlier removed an unauthorised additional construction on part of the third floor on March 20, 2025.

The civic body said the premises were subsequently being used as a gymkhana in a manner contrary to the approved use. Acting under the direct supervision of the competent authority, the AMC on Saturday, August 8, 2026, stopped the unauthorised use and sealed the premises.

The action was carried out with police protection from the Dariyapur Police Station. DeshGujarat
