AUDA Proposes Four New TP Schemes Across 500 Hectares

Ahmedabad: With Ahmedabad selected as the host city for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) has approved a series of measures to strengthen infrastructure and urban development around the city. During its 311th board meeting on Friday, AUDA approved revisions to 14 Town Planning (TP) schemes, paving the way for their final sanction.

The schemes cover areas including Kuvalda-Kanbha-Kathwada-Singarva, Visalpur, Barejadi-Nandej-Devdi, Nandej-Devdi, Kalol-Saij-Borisna, Atalpur, Aslali-Lambha, Dehgam, Sanathal-Telav, Muthiya-Bilasiya-Enasan, Chekhla-Godhavi-Garodia-Vansajada-Dhediya-Unali, and Santej-Rakanpur. Once approved, the schemes will support the development of roads and other infrastructure while promoting planned urbanisation in these areas.

Four new TP schemes proposed

The board also approved an intention declaration for four new TP schemes covering Dehgam, Godhavi, Kaneti, Sanand and Nidhrad. Together, the proposed schemes will cover around 500 hectares and facilitate the development of new roads and other infrastructure.

AUDA also decided to put 15 commercial plots located across six TP schemes up for e-auction. The plots are situated in areas including Chandkheda, Bopal, Thaltej and Chandlodia-Gota.

The auction will be conducted in accordance with the land disposal policy and reserve prices approved by the committee. The move is expected to support greater commercial activity and development in these areas.
