Insect Found in Roti at Jeeman Restaurant; AMC Fines Eatery ₹25000

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has imposed a ₹25,000 fine on Jeeman restaurant in Motera after a customer allegedly found a fly in a roti served at the eatery. An inspection by the AMC Food Department also found unhygienic conditions at the restaurant.

The incident came to light when a family visited Jeeman restaurant and ordered roti. The customer allegedly noticed a fly in the roti and brought it to the attention of the restaurant manager and staff.

The customer subsequently complained to the AMC Food Department and sought action over the incident. Following the complaint, a Food Department team conducted an inspection of the restaurant.

During the inspection, officials found unhygienic conditions and imposed a ₹25,000 penalty on the restaurant.

The incident has once again raised concerns over hygiene and food safety standards at restaurants and eateries in the city. DeshGujarat
