AMC to blacklist Shreeji Infra Space over incomplete road works
September 10, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to initiate the process of blacklisting Shreeji Infra Space Private Limited over incomplete road works in Chandkheda.
Addressing the media after the Standing Committee meeting, the Chairman said the company had been awarded work for a total of eight roads in the Chandkheda area, of which work on two roads had been started.
The projects included road widening and resurfacing work from Kadianaka to Govindnagar at a cost of Rs. 3.61 crore. The company was also entrusted with road work from Gujarat Housing Board to Laxminagar.
According to the AMC, although three to four months had passed since work began at both locations, the projects remained incomplete after the contractor stopped work. The civic body had earlier issued a notice to the company, but officials said its response was not satisfactory.
Taking note of the issue, the Standing Committee on Thursday directed the concerned department to issue another notice to the contractor as part of the process of initiating action to blacklist the company.
The action comes as the AMC seeks to ensure that contractors complete road projects in accordance with contractual terms and do not leave civic works unfinished. DeshGujarat
