Gujarat GST Revenue Grows 17% Year-on-Year in September 2026

New Delhi: Gujarat recorded strong growth in Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections in September 2026, with the state’s domestic GST revenue rising 17% year-on-year.
According to the latest GST data, Gujarat collected Rs. 12,222 crore in domestic GST during September 2026, compared to Rs. 10,419 crore in the corresponding month last year.
The state’s pre-settlement State GST (SGST) revenue also grew 17% to Rs. 4,305 crore from Rs. 3,693 crore in September 2025. After the settlement of Gujarat’s share of Integrated GST (IGST), the state’s post-settlement SGST revenue rose to Rs. 8,167 crore from Rs. 6,052 crore a year earlier, marking a 35% increase.
At the national level, gross GST collections stood at Rs. 2.04 lakh crore in September 2026, registering a 14.7% year-on-year increase over Rs. 1.77 lakh crore collected in September 2025. Net GST revenue, after accounting for refunds, stood at Rs. 1.77 lakh crore, up 18.1% from Rs. 1.50 lakh crore a year ago.
Among major states, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana recorded 18% growth in domestic GST revenue, while Gujarat registered 17% growth. Maharashtra recorded 15% growth and Karnataka 16% during the month.
The figures are provisional and may change slightly upon finalisation. On a cumulative basis, Gujarat’s post-settlement SGST revenue stood at Rs. 49,794 crore during April-September 2026, up 30% from Rs. 38,447 crore in the corresponding period of 2025. DeshGujarat
