Gandhinagar: Gujarat Energy Limited (GEL) has signed a 10-year Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to procure up to 4 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the international gas portfolio of XRG, ADNOC’s international investment company, beginning in 2028.
The agreement, announced on November 6, 2026, marks the first procurement of LNG from XRG’s international portfolio and ADNOC’s fifth LNG supply agreement in India.
Under the agreement, Gujarat Energy will receive LNG supplies over a 10-year period, strengthening its long-term gas procurement arrangements and supporting India’s growing natural gas demand.
Rashid Al Mazrouei, Chief Marketing & Origination Officer (LNG), said: “This agreement with Gujarat Energy strengthens ADNOC’s long-standing energy partnership with India. It represents the first sale of molecules from XRG’s international portfolio, reinforcing our commitment to delivering reliable, long-term LNG supplies.
