Narendrabhai accorded warm welcome at Ahmedabad airport, moves to Raj Bhavan for night halt

Ahmedabad: On eve of his 67th birthday, son of soil Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived at Sardar Patel international airport in Ahmedabad in Indian Air Force(IAF) plane. The prime minister was welcomed by Gujarat governor, Chief Minister, state BJP president, cabinet ministers among others at the airport. Large number of BJP workers and supporters were present at the airport to welcome the Prime Minister. Chief Minister offered him turban while MoS in centre Parshottam Rupala offered a garland to Shri Modi. In his brief address Shri Modi said he is happy to have ‘darshan’ of all again. He thanked party cadre and others for coming to airport in big number to welcome him. The PM avoided delivering speech. The Prime Minister straight away reached Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar from airport. He is likely to meet his mother Hiraba tomorrow morning on his birthday to seek her blessing. Hiraba is 97-year old and lives with Narendrabhai’s younger brother in Gandhinagar who works in Government of Gujarat in Information department. Narendrabhai will then leave for Limkheda in Dahod district where he will mark launching of water projects. He will address a rally of tribal people and move to Navsari in South Gujarat where he will distribute govt assistance to specially-abled people. Shri Modi will fly back to Delhi from Surat airport in the evening tomorrow.
