CJI Thakur meets PM Modi at Gandhinagar Raj Bhavan

Gandhinagar: Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India T.S.Thakur today visited Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar and greeted him on his birthday with bouquet. Modi welcomed Thakur at the entrance. Minister of State for Law and Justice, Government of Gujarat Shri Pradipsinh Jadeja was with Chief Justice. Thakur and Modi had less than an hour long talk at Raj Bhavan. Thakur also met Gujarat Governor O.P.Kohli. The meeting took place post 8.30 am. Thakur is in Gujarat to attend several functions including the inauguration of auditorium at Gujarat High Court which took place yesterday. Modi is here in Gandhinagar to seek blessings of his mother Hiraba on his birthday. He is scheduled to attend two public functions at Limkheda and Navsari in Gujarat later today.

Later speaking at the Judicial Academy opening function at Gujarat High Court, the Chief Justice on his meeting with Prime Minister Modi said: I told Prime Minister that coming to Gujarat gave me so much peace. Delhi is vibrating place which had witnessed blood shed for years. Gujarat is a place with peace and tranquility.
Thakur admired Gujarat for its resources and leaders it has given including Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
