Bhagwan Dwarkadhish will be ornamented using 7 kg Gold/silver

Shri Dwarka Devasthan Samiti, the administrative body of Gujarat’s Dwarkasheesh Mandir approved this year’s budget unanimously in its annual meeting this week.
Chaired by District Collector Sandipkumar, the meeting decided to increase security guard monthly wages from present Rs 1100 to Rs 3000.
The Devasthan Samiti has seven kg gold and silver in its possession. A sub committee was formed to initiate procedure to make golden and silver ornaments for Shri Dwarkadhish Bhagwan’s idol from precious metal.
It was also decided that Dwarka Devasthan Samiti run Vishram Gruh(rest house) will be revamped at a cost of Rs 37 lakh. The fund for this cause has been approved by Gujarat Government’s Yatradham Vikas board.
DTH service Tata Sky had applied for permission to telecast Dwarka Mandir’s daily Aarti of four times live on their network. The committee approved Tata Sky’s application with remark that the DTH service would not show advertise with the Aarti.
The committee has estimated Rs 1.25 crore income and Rs 55 lakh expenses this year. The Devasthan Samiti had Rs 30 lakh cash before twenty years. Today it has Rs 6 crore fix deposit.
