Shri Somnath Trust meeting takes place in presence of PM; Keshubhai reappointed as Chairman

Somnath: Shri Somnath Trust’s 116th meeting took place today. Former Chief Miniser Keshubhai Patel was reappointed as Chairman of Shri Somnath Trust for year 2017. His name was proposed by Shri Modi and supported by Shri LK Advani.
According to Shri PK Lehri of Shri Somnath Trust, Shri Modi spent 20-25 minutes more time in the meeting.
He said, discussions took place on how to increase the number of pilgims from distanced states. How Somnath Mahotsav can take place there. How those who wish to have darshan of Somnath can be involved in this.
Shri Lehri said, Porbandar style pathway on the coast, its technical details, its environmental approval, Prasad projects, museum projects were also discussed in the meeting.
38th Shaktipith which was Chandrabhaga Shaktipith will be made alive again here through virtual reality. The Shaktipith is no more in existence here, but with the use of modern technology it will be showcased in style of Kathopanishad show at Swaminarayan mandir, Lehri said.
Shri Lehri Leaving security concerns aside, the Prime Minister allowed pilgrims to continue to have darshan during his presence in the temple.
