ACB nabs sub registrar taking a bribe of Rs 1500 only for change in house ownership record

Ahmedabad:The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police today nabbed red handed a sub registrar rank official from Dhandhuka town in Ahmedabad district for taking a bribe of Rs 1500 from a man for change in a house ownership record.
Assistant Director of the ACB D P Chudasama said that sub registrar Pir Mamad Kherubhai Theba (57), Sub registrar Dhandhuka had sought the money from the complainant for omission of the name of one of the inheritors from a house ownership record.
Based on the complaint the sub registrar was nabbed red handed during a trap of the ACB from his office.
