Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad City police has alerted people against a fake video which is being shared on social media. City police on its social media channels asked people not to forward or share a fake video without checking.

Police further said that it is keeping eye on social media and whoever share this fake video/photo will face legal action.

A fake video showing police dispersing crowd was seen posted on Facebook by one Umar Khan Pathan, an office bearer of Congress party’s minority cell. There were reports that Police was going to take action against Umar Khan, however Umar Khan has not removed this video from his Facebook handle yet.

Police said this fake video showing police dispersing crowd is from Lucknow and not Ahmedabad.
