ACB Gujarat nabs private doctor for allegedly seeking bribe from Covid hospital on behalf of AMC officer

Ahmedabad: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), Gujarat has booked a private citizen Dr. Naresh Malhotra for allegedly seeking bribe on behalf of Dr. Arvind Patel, Deputy Municipal Health Officer of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
Private run CIMS hospital at Sola has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for treatment of Covid19 patients. CIMS produces bills of tratment of AMC-referred Covid19 patients, for approval before the Deputy Municipal Health Officer of AMC Dr. Arvind Patel.
ACB was informed by complainant that Dr. Naresh Malhotra (private citizen) from Aditya Hospital at Bhuyangdev was seeking ten per cent amount of bill as bribe for approval to bills by Dr. Arvind Patel. DeshGujarat
