This long queue at 4 am in Ahmedabad on Gujarati new year day!

Sabarmati: This long queue visible in photographs attached here was for Mangala aarti darshan at Bhadrakali Mandir on Gujarati new year day ‘Bestu Varsh’ today morning in Ahmedabad. Bhadrakali Mandir is called ‘Nagardevi’ mandir, meaning the mandir of Goddess of this city. It is located in Bhadra fort in wall city area of city. As it is the Gujarati new year day, scores of citizens wanted to start their new year with early morning aarti at this Mandir. Not just Bhadrakali Mandir, but all major mandirs in the city are witnessing heavy rush of devotees today, as all want to start their new year with darshan and if possible puja of Bhagwan on the new year day of Vikram Samvat 2078 as per Gujarati Hindu calendar today. As per the practice established by then Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendrabhai Modi, the current Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel is also going to visit Bhadrakali Mandir in wall city for darshan on new year morning.
