Veer Narmad South Gujarat University to start course on Hindu Studies

Surat: Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) is going to start a 2-year course on Hindu studies as part of post-graduation in MA Sociology department of the university from the academic year 2022-23.
VNSGU will be the first university of Gujarat to teach Hindu religion as a subject after starting this course.
Syndicate member Dr Snehal Joshi had proposed to start a 2-year course on Hindu studies as part of post-graduation in MA Sociology department. The proposal was accepted after discussion between syndicate members and it was approved by all the members. A 2-year course on Hindu studies is run in post-graduation in arts by Banaras Hindu University from academic year 2021-22.
The University will not insist on PhD lecturers for this court, but give thrust on knowledge while appointing them. DeshGujarat
