Upcoming 3 months period serious for the city: SMC on Covid cases

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) in a statement stated that a very serious situation is likely to arise if the omicron variant of coronavirus is taken lightly.
The requirement of oxygen is 8 metric ton in SMIMER hospital, Civil hospital and other private hospitals in the city at present, which was around 220 metric ton during the second wave of coronavirus, SMC stated.
SMC stated that there is an increase in the positive cases of covid-19 every day in the city and the upcoming 3 months period is serious for the city.
SMC has appealed that all the residents of the city should follow government guidelines of covid-19 including the covid-related behavior such as wearing mask, following social distance, sanitizing hands, avoiding gathering of over 400 people in social and religious gatherings and wearing mask and observing social distancing in the same.
