Surat: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has started to manage the security at Surat airport from today. So far, the city police was handling the security of Surat airport.

The security at Surat airport was handed over to CISF today in a formal ceremony. The induction ceremony for deputing CISF jawans at the airport was held today morning in the presence of state BJP president CR Patil and state home minister Harsh Sanghavi at the airport. As many as 254 CISF jawans are deputed in 3 shifts initially.

Total 360 CISF jawans will be deputed for security as per the notification of the home ministry dated 10th June 2020. CISF security is important for international flights. DeshGujarat
