Land acquisition for Mehsana-Shamlaji for 4-lane National Highway formally begins

Mahesana: The process of land acquisition for a 4-lane National Highway connecting Rampura (cooks) in Mehsana taluka to Shamlaji has formally begun. The private company that has been awarded the contract for the 132 kilometer long highway visited regional offices at Mehsana, Kheralu, and Prantij.
In the last two years, land acquisition around Mehsana city for the railway freight corridor, Patan-Prantij National Highway, and the Ahmedabad-Tharad National Highway has left people feeling confused as regards to the advantages or disadvantages of such highways.
The 132 kilometer long highway will pass through Mehsana, Sabarkantha and Aravalli. Mehsana district will have 62 kilometer of the said highway, Sabarkantha will have 42 kilometer and Aravalli district will have 28 kilometers.
Land for the project will be acquired in 6 villages of Mehsana Taluka, 8 villages of Visnagar Taluka, 9 villages of Vadnagar Taluka, 9 villages of Vadnagar Taluka, 4 villages of Kheralu Taluka, 19 villages of Idar Taluka, and 17 villages of Bhiloda taluka. DeshGujarat
