Gandhinagar: CM Bhupendra Patel has decided to give a 100 per cent exemption in the penalty of the old schemes of Gujarat Housing Board and slum clearance cell, for 90 days starting from 13th July under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Incentive Compensation Scheme.
The 100 per cent penalty exemption will be given for 90 days on pending installments as of 1st July 2022 in the old schemes of the Gujarat housing board and slum clearance cell. Thus, a total exemption of around Rs 768.92 crore will be given on the penalty for 90 days.
Those beneficiaries who pay the amount of the pending installment within 90 days after the implementation of the scheme, will be given a 100 per cent penalty exemption from the remaining amount of installments. A total of 64,992 remaining beneficiaries will be able to get ownership rights of the accommodation due to adding the relief package to the scheme.
CM Patel has also decided to decrease the interest on the pending penalty due to the provision of an annual 8 per cent interest rate on penalty for the beneficiaries unable to pay the installments within the 90-day period. DeshGujarat
