Merman Goriya, Parimal Patel join BJP

Jamnagar: Former Khambhalia MLA Meraman Goriya joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today with his 1100 supporters after leaving congress in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani. Former MLA Meraman Goriya, jilla panchayat former president Mitalben Goriya, former Jilla Panchayat president Rekhaben Goriya, former minister’s son Dilip Goriya also joined BJP. The Goriya family has been active in politics in Dwarka district. Three persons of the Goriya family have been MLAs and two as Zilla Panchayat presidents.
In another development, Parimal Patel who was a Congress candidate for the Jalalpore assembly seat in 2017 joined BJP. Rebel independent candidate from the Padra seat and another rebel from the Bayad seat, Dinumama and Dhavalsinh Jhala resigned from the BJP before they could be sacked by the party for rebellious activity.
