ACB book former police constable of Kodinar Police Station

Gir Somnath: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has filed a crime against the then police constable of Kodinar police station in Gir Somnath under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in a bribe case of Rs 50 thousand.
The accused Nashirkhan Abdulkhan Turk, serving as police constable at Kodinar police station in 2018 had conducted a raid of liquor. He demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the complainant to not to take legal actions over the raid. The amount was reduced to Rs 50 thousand after arguments. The complainant had contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe.
During the trap conducted by ACB, the accused did not come in person to take the bribe and talked with the complainant about the bribe amount. ACB found the evidence about the demanding of the bribe by the accused. So, ACB filed a crime against him under section 7 and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. DeshGujarat
