Raj Kumar takes over as new Chief Secretary of Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Gujarat-cadre IAS officer of the 1987 batch, Raj Kumar today took over as the new Chief Secretary of Gujarat succeeding outgoing Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar whose eight-month extension expired today with retirement. Raj Kumar is the 31st Chief Secretary of Gujarat. He will retire in January 2025. B.Tech. (Electrical Engineering) from IIT Kanpur, Master in Public Policy from GRIPS (Tokyo) in Japan, Raj Kumar was serving as Additional Chief Secretary(Home) and last week was officiated as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in Chief Secretary’s office till 31st January, the date on which he would take over as new Chief Secretary of Gujarat.
