ACB Gujarat nabs forester and retired forester in bribe case

Himmatnagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police has nabbed a forester and retired forester in a bribe case.
Accused Bhagwansinh Rahevar is a forester in Modasa while accused Gunvant Brahmbhatt is a retired forester.
According to ACB, a complainant, in this case, was transporting wood. Accused retired forester Gunvant had told him that a bribe had to be paid to accuse forester Rahevar for running the business. The bribe amount sought was as high as Rs. 21,000 which was payable in three installments. Later the installment was fixed at Rs. 5,000.
As the complaint didn’t want to pay a bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged, and accused Gunvant was nabbed taking a bribe of Rs. 5,000 on behalf of accused Rahevar. DeshGujarat
