Complaint against 12 Farmers for water theft from Narmada Pipeline

Narmada: Gujarat Water Infrastructure Ltd filed a complaint against 12 farmers for water theft from the Narmada pipeline in Muli of Surendranagar.
Gujarat Water Infrastructure Ltd, an undertaking of the state government, manages the work of supplying drinking water through pipelines based on the Narmada Canal. It supplies water to 1219 villages and 21 cities of Rajkot, Jamnagar, Devbhumi Dwarka, and Porbandar, from Dhanki in Lakhtar taluka. Gujarat Water Infrastructure Ltd and Dharti Infra had jointly undertaken a mega operation in September and October 2022 to prevent water theft in Muli.
General manager Komal Adalja, senior manager Jatin Patel, assistant manager Anirudhdhsinh Dodiya, supervisor Bhavesh Kanani, and team members from Surendranagar and other districts conducted a check. They found water theft in Khatdi, Digsar, Danawada, Tikar, Dadholiya, and Gautamgadh. The employee of Gujarat water infrastructure ltd Jaypalsinh Barad filed a complaint against 12 farmers at Muli police station on 12th April under the sections of damaging the public property.
