Rs. 3500 bribe to pass the driving license test: ITI instructor, security guard held

Mahesana: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police have booked two persons in a bribe case.
Accused Dinesh Thakor (45) is a security guard (outsourced) at Harij ITI(Industrial Training Institute), while another accused Maulik Patel (32) is a supervisor instructor at Harij ITI.
A complainant, in this case, was seeking LMV (light motor vehicle) driving license, for which he had submitted the form online and visited Harij ITI on 18 April where the accused security guard came and met him.
According to ACB, the accused security guard told the complainant that Rs. 1200 form fee and Rs. 4,000 bribe will be required to be paid to pass the computer test. After bargaining the bribe sum was fixed at Rs. 3500 to pass the computer trial theory test which is required to get the driving license.
A complainant approached ACB as he was not willing to pay a bribe, following which a trap was arranged. The accused security guard demanded and received Rs. 3500 on behalf of the main accused. The accused was nabbed. DeshGujarat
