Jamnagar, Rajkot and Bhuj Airports halt operations amidst cyclone condition

Jamnagar: With cyclone Biparjoy looming over the region, Jamnagar Airport has finalized its preparations to tackle the impending weather event. The airport has been primed to handle emergency and relief flights, while all commercial flights have been temporarily suspended.
To ensure adequate fuel supply in case of emergencies, a sufficient stockpile of diesel and petrol has been stored at the airport. These provisions will enable the airport to remain operational during critical situations. Currently, there are no aircraft parked at the airport premises, said the Director of Jamnagar Airport, DK Singh.

On the other hand, Rajkot Airport has taken precautionary measures by cancelling all civil flights, including passenger flights, for today. Passengers are advised to stay updated with the latest information provided by the airline companies and relevant authorities.

Similarly, the terminal building and apron at Bhuj Airport have been closed today, resulting in the suspension of scheduled flight operations. The airport authorities have implemented this measure to ensure the safety of passengers and staff in light of the cyclone alert.

As cyclone Biparjoy approaches, authorities across these airports are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary.
